It has long been known that father presence in the household is important for the positive well-being of families, neighborhoods, and youth. Dads who actively participate in the lives of their families provide a steady source of stability and support. The consequences of such support impact a whole host of child developmental outcomes, including behavior, academics, and health. With that said, we at Kids Gotta Eat have started a Fathers and Sons initiative. Staying within the scope of our vision; to offer exposure to supportive and empowering environments; we have sponsored events where fathers and sons participate together. From our wild water rafting trip, to paintball, we have been able to foster events that will create bonds and memories that will last a lifetime.
