Kids Gotta Eat

Gloves & Love Program

As parents, you want what’s best for your kids. You want them to be safe, healthy and happy. Kids Gotta Eat, a youth development program has started a Gloves and Love fitness program, that can help teach your kids how to box while staying shape, and healthy. Here are some of the benefits of teaching your kids to box: Children who participate in boxing have significantly better hand-eye coordination than those who don’t. According to studies, boxing also helps improve problem-solving skills and memory recall. In other words, it’s great for your child’s brain development! Physical benefits of boxing include improved cardiovascular health, increased muscle strength and endurance. Boxing is also a great way to teach children discipline and respect (A boxer has to be able to control his or her body and mind in order to be successful in the ring.) Boxing can be a great way for kids to burn off some of that energy and build their confidence at the same time. Kids who box learn how to control their body and how to defend themselves in a fight. They also learn how to work as part of a team and how to take instructions from a coach. All of these skills can help kids in other areas of their lives, such as school or sports.
